However, as usual, there is a catch. Finding a legit site seems kind of impossible. You are either bombarded with emails, pop-up ads or even worse, sign up for a scam!

In a nutshell, InboxDollars is where you can take surveys, redeem cash-back offers, print coupons, read their promotional emails, and watch ads to make extra money on the side.
InboxDollars is super easy to use. You can access it on your laptop or download their app on your smartphone.
Being this easy to use, means you can make money while you are waiting in a queue or simply when you are out walking your dog. InboxDollars also offers a free $5 sign-up bonus for new users.
What I found a bit annoying and time-consuming with InboxDollars were the surveys. InboxDollars doesn’t send you surveys automatically. You need to fill out a questionnaire and see if you fit the criteria for that survey or not.
Based on the survey and your demographics, you might find yourself doing this more often. However, this is not just something related to InboxDollars. A lot of other survey websites have similar difficulty.

InboxDollars is a legitimate way to make some extra cash on the side. The company has been around since 2000.
They also have a pretty decent review on Trustpilot. Similar to other survey websites, InboxDollars seems overwhelming for a first-time user. However, if you take a bit of time out to get familiar with it, it is a nice little side income for you every week.
I have read a bunch of review from real users and there were a pattern in most of those reviews:

The way it works is that it provides you with a bunch of ways to make money online. You can choose whichever you like, or even all of them and start making money.
Another good little beginner bonus you get is that when you create your account you get a $5 bonus after you confirm your email address.
After that, there is a general demographic type survey that you can take. It might take up to 10 minutes to fill that out, and once you are done you will get a $0.50 bonus.
1. Take paid surveys.
You can’t start taking surveys if you haven’t fill out your profile. Once you are done doing that you will get a $0.50 bonus and you can start taking surveys.
You can make anywhere from $0.50 to $5 completing a survey, and each survey can take anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour.
2. Watch videos.
If you go into the “Video” section of your account, you can start watching videos to make money.
You can choose videos from the feature section or search for a specific category of the video under categories.
Put it this way, instead watching your Netflix, you can start watching these videos and earn money.
3. Play InboxDollars games.
InboxDollars have a variety of games, arcade games all the way to some GSN (Game Show Network) games. You can enter tournaments and there is a chance that you can win some cash. InboxDollars also pay you back any penny you spend on the games.
One thing I found out doing my research was most of the people were saying it is too hard to earn money playing games. So what I can assume is it won’t worth it to try this category unless you are a good gamer and love playing games.
4. Shop online and redeem coupons.
You can make money simply by using coupons. Access your coupons by going to the coupons tab of your account.
InboxDollars coupons are powered by ‘coupons.com’. This is actually one of the best ways to use this platform. Think about it, at the same time you are saving money using coupons and earning money from it too.
5. Read offer emails.
This is another way of earning money with InboxDollars. For this PaidEmails option, you will receive up to 4 emails per day from InboxDollars’ partners. These emails can have promotional offers or they might just simply ask you to review or give feedback.
I wasn’t able to find how much you can exactly make reading these emails, but it is an easy way to make some extra cash.

Not enough Surveys. You can only choose a survey based on your demographic information. This means you might have a limited amount of surveys to choose from.
Account Deactivation. Based on the info on their website, you should log in or read a PaidEmail once within 10 days, otherwise, your account would be marked as not active. This means no payment request will go through until you reactive your account.

InboxDollars is very similar to other survey sites. If you don’t like to take surveys you can use the other options to make extra money online.
It is a great way to make some extra cash if you have a long commute or you have a lot of downtime.
Make sure that you read their terms and conditions, and familiars yourself with their account rules.
